HOST AGREEMENT

This Host Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between you (“Host”) and BOOKASTAYNAIJA LTD (“BookaStay Naija”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By listing a property on BookaStay Naija, you agree to comply with and be bound by this Agreement.

1. ELIGIBILITY & VERIFICATION

To list a property, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have the legal right to rent or manage the property
  • Provide accurate and verifiable information

You agree to submit, upon request:

  • Valid government-issued identification
  • Proof of ownership or authorization
  • Business registration documents (if applicable)

BookaStay Naija reserves the right to approve, reject, or remove any listing at its sole discretion.

2. LISTING REQUIREMENTS

You agree that all listings must:

  • Accurately describe the property
  • Include truthful images and details
  • Clearly state pricing, house rules, and caution fee (if applicable)

Misleading or false listings may result in immediate removal.

3. PLATFORM CONTROL & NON-CIRCUMVENTION

You acknowledge that:

  • BookaStay Naija owns the customer relationship
  • Guest contact details are only shared after booking confirmation

You agree that you will NOT:

  • Encourage or request Guests to book outside the platform
  • Share personal contact details before booking
  • Accept direct payments outside the Platform for bookings initiated on BookaStay Naija

Any attempt to bypass the platform will result in:

  • Immediate suspension or removal
  • Possible permanent ban

4. BOOKINGS & PAYMENTS

  • All bookings must be processed through the Platform
  • Guests pay the full booking amount to BookaStay Naija
  • A 10% service fee is deducted from your payout

5. PAYOUT TERMS

  • Payouts are released 24 hours after guest check-in, provided no disputes are raised
  • Payments are made to your registered payout account

BookaStay Naija reserves the right to delay payouts in cases of disputes, fraud checks, or policy violations.

6. HOST RESPONSIBILITIES

You agree to:

  • Honor all confirmed bookings
  • Ensure the property is clean, safe, and ready at check-in
  • Provide the accommodation as described in the listing
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Failure to meet these obligations may result in penalties.

7. HOST CANCELLATIONS

Hosts must not cancel confirmed bookings without valid reason.

If a Host cancels:

  • The Guest will receive a full refund
  • The listing may be suspended or permanently removed

Repeated cancellations will lead to account termination.

8. PROPERTY STANDARDS

You are responsible for maintaining your property in good condition.

If a property is found to be:

  • Misrepresented
  • Unsafe
  • Unclean or unfit for stay

BookaStay Naija may:

  • Issue refunds to Guests
  • Suspend or remove the listing

9. DAMAGES & CAUTION FEES

  • Hosts may collect a caution fee directly from Guests at check-in
  • You are responsible for managing and returning the caution fee

If damages exceed the caution fee:

  • You may request additional compensation
  • BookaStay Naija may assist in dispute resolution

10. GUEST RELATIONSHIP

You acknowledge that:

  • Guests are customers of BookaStay Naija
  • You may only communicate with Guests through the Platform before booking
  • You must not solicit repeat bookings outside the Platform

11. PENALTIES & ENFORCEMENT

Violation of this Agreement may result in:

  • Listing removal
  • Account suspension
  • Permanent ban from the Platform

BookaStay Naija reserves full discretion in enforcing penalties.

12. LIABILITY

You are solely responsible for:

  • Your property
  • Compliance with laws
  • Guest interactions during the stay

BookaStay Naija is not liable for:

  • Property damage
  • Loss of income
  • Guest misconduct

13. MODIFICATIONS

We may update this Agreement at any time.

Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
